Four steps to “Guillaume”
(souvenir from a quite drunk evening)
Done with the Paper App, as usual, on the iPad 1 with a the Bamboo stylus
This sketch has been done quite quickly, in about 2 hours and a half, using the black pencil rather than the fountain pen, as in my previous sketches. It appears to be faster, since I usually overlay almost all the draft with the other tools and colors.
As usual, all of the Paper tools were used, but mainly pencils and watercolors.

My son Kaya is having fun with blocks.  He made three different things out of just a handful of blocks.  My wife could not understand what they were, so I came to rescue by filling up the communication gap with an iPad app called “Paper.”

Febie was going to read the picture book “Missing Piece” (by Shel Silverstein) to kids at a children’s bookstore.  She asked me to draw circles with different types of mouth for the closing craft session.  I thought the original book was too abstract for kids and decided to make a colorful version that makes more intuitive sense to them.  For a hungry kid, a sad kid, a frustrated kid, … which one do you think is his/er missing piece?
